Wine Tasting at Boyden Farm in Vermont

Boyden Farm Vermont

My travels brought me to the Boyden Farm in Johnson, VT, which is famous for many things including a sugar house where they produce their own maple syrup and a vineyard, where they produce their own wine and cider. Kae stopped by for a wine tasting on a cold Saturday morning. It was nice to get out on a sunny morning after a small snow storm and see blue skies.

The people at Boyden Farm are very nice and knowledgeable about the Vermont products they make. Their family, of four generations, has been on this wonderful farm of over 100 acres of maple tress and 8000 grapevines. The building where the wine tastings are held was built in 1875, which means that it is more than 100 years old. This is what I love about Vermont. Clean air, open land and beautiful lakes and rivers. I also love to see family businesses doing very well and producing quality products that no mall or chain could ever compete with.
